Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)
is a non - government, non - profitable, registered
animal welfare organization working for prevention of
cruelty towards animals and a better environment for
mankind. PAWS is recognized
by Animal Welfare Board of India.
In 1998 PAWS came into existence
and started working the next day. PAWS purpose is to
make people aware about the care, management and nutrition
of pet and stray animals. PAWS
treat all animals on this planet as the pets of the
society and make people realize their importance in
our day-to-day life to create a better environment for
animal and mankind.
PAWS undertake regular owner/public
awareness program in and around Delhi. Organizes free
anti rabies camps for strays and economically weaker
section of animal lovers. And it is a continuous process
to eradicate rabies in India. PAWS
is undertaking a massive ABC (Animal
Birth Control) Program to control the stray population
and immunize them to eradicate rabies in the India.
PAWS speaks and writes about
the prevention of cruelty towards strays and pet animals
and animal rights.
PAWS is against the use of
animals in the lab and circus.
PAWS writes about the ban
on plastic bags and encourage people to grow plants
to save our environment.
PAWS is running a state of
the art Pet Boarding and Lodging Shelter in New Delhi
and facility for indoor and postoperative patients in
the purpose built air cool kennels.
PAWS promote vegetarianism.
PAWS is for wildlife and their
safety and looking for interested/like minded people
to encourage us to breed endangered species in captivity
and release them in their respective territories. PAWS
has its infrastructure and environment friendly farm
at northern Himalayan foothills.
